My path into the world of graphic design began in Leicester, England where I got my Associate Degree in Textile Design at City of Leicester Polytechnic (now De Montford University.)

On my return to the States I settled in my hometown of Burlington, NC, where textiles was King. My experience ran the gamut from programming knit patterns to designing children’s clothing lines.

Taking a break from my career to raise my 3 sons, I returned to the design world in 1994, back to textiles where I used my design and computer skills to create presentation aids and packaging for products, from design concept to print. My photography was used to create artwork for packaging, catalogs and display units.

In 2002 the decline of the textile industry prompted me to venture into the freelance realm. Thus was born Third Floor Window, named for my home office on the third floor attic with one tiny window. Along with serving my textile clients, I created ads, brochures, visual branding and identity for a variety of clients, from interior design firms to spa centers.

Things have changed since 2002. I’ve moved from my attic setting to a state-of-the-art office in Elon, NC. I enrolled at Alamance Community College where I received my AAS Degree in Advertising and Graphic Design in July 2008. My technical skills include Adobe CS3, Web Design (Dreamweaver, Flash), Digital Sound Mix & Video Production (Final Cut Pro.)

My training in the latest graphic design software combined with my experience in design may be the perfect solution for your design needs. I would welcome hearing from you!
